What is Moving Image Arts?
The Moving Image is a key driver of the creative industries.
The rapid growth of digital media technologies has made the
creative industries increasingly accessible and attractive
to young people. The impact is being felt within the
classroom where students are seeking opportunities to learn
technical skills and express themselves creatively.

The Aims: to develop;

Intellectual, imaginative, creative and intuitive powers;

Investigative, analytical, experimental, practical,
technical and expressive skills, aesthetic understanding and
critical judgement;

An understanding of the inter-relationships between the
Moving Image and other art forms, disciplines and practices;

Knowledge and understanding of the place of the Moving Image
in contemporary society and an awareness of the context in
which moving image production and reception takes place. |
