Year 9 LAC Science (lower) September
 

1.                magnet - A piece of iron that can attract iron.
 

2.                North and South Poles - Are found at the ends of a magnet.
 

3.                compass - An instrument with a pointer to the North Pole.
 

4.                electromagnet - A magnet that works by electricity.

1.                vertebrates - Animals with a backbone.
 

2.                invertebrates - Animals without a backbone.
 

3.                breathe - To inhale and exhale air.
 

4.                set - Similar things grouped together.
